Dr. Jessica
Dr. Jessica is the owner of Botanical Point, a Registered Doctor of Acupuncture, Certified Personal Trainer, 300hour Yoga Teacher, Certified Sports Nutritionist, and received honours in Advanced Facial Therapy.

Dr. Jessica’s journey to opening Botanical Point was one of self discovery. In 2015 she signed up for Yoga Teacher Training, interested in learning more about spirituality and the ego. This course also unintentionally blossomed her interest in anatomy and physiology which guided her to sign up for a Bachelor of Science. It was during her Bachelor studies she enrolled in an Ancient Medicine class. This class focused on the concepts of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), which immediately captivated Dr. Jessica. Two days into the course she purchased a TCM philosophy book written by two of the foremost American educators and healers in the Chinese medical profession, Between Heaven and Earth by Harriet Beinfield and Efrem Korngold. After reading the book, Dr. Jessica knew this was her calling, and she registered herself into a 4 year TCM course in Nelson, BC.

It was during school, Jessica wanted to deepen her knowledge of functional anatomy and physiology beyond the scope of Acupuncture, so she became a certified Personal Trainer and a certified Sports Nutritionist. She used the knowledge she gained to rehab her old sports injuries, exercise muscles correctly in the gym and nourish them optimally in the kitchen. Now she uses this knowledge in conjunction with TCM to heal her clients that have sports related injuries, pain or nutritional inquiries.

The skin is the largest organ of the body and has perplexed Jessica throughout her life as she has always struggled with sensitive skin. After studying internal medicine with TCM, Dr. Jessica was able to subdue her own skin concerns with herbal medicine and Acupuncture. That is until the 2020 pandemic brought with it - maskne (also known as mechanical acne). Again, seeking the knowledge to cure, Dr. Jessica enrolled at the Esthetic Institute to study Medical Esthetics. Here she learned how to analyze skin, use professional products and treat the skin topically for an abundance of skin related concerns. Now she is able to combine her knowledge of Eastern TCM and Western Medicine Esthetics to heal each client from the inside-out and amplify their inner beauty.

Dr. Jessica is very passionate about sharing her knowledge and implementing different tools from both Eastern Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine to treat each person individually. However Dr. Jessica is most passionate about (and continuing her education) within the fields of medical esthetics, fertility, sports medicine, nutrition and TCM herbal formulas.
Dr. Ali
Dr. Ali is a Registered Doctor of Acupuncture and 200 hour Yoga Teacher with an undergrad in Business from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary.

Ali found acupuncture after a severe injury in her early 20s left her pelvis out of alignment and she was hardly able to walk. She was skeptical when her acupuncturist started to poke her elbows rather than her hips directly but was amazed when she felt less pain almost instantly. She loved the way it made her feel more grounded & present after the treatments and her curiosity sprouted from there as she started to experiment with all of the ways that acupuncture could improve her wellness. She identifies as a life-long learner and is always researching different methods & point combinations to find the best solutions for her patients.

In her treatments, Ali thrives when working with people who feel a little “in a funk” and helps bring them back into the best version of themselves. She loves the connection using acupuncture between mind & body. She also has special interests in women’s health, sports medicine & cosmetic acupuncture. Fun fact: Ali’s favourite treatments to give are Cosmetic Acupuncture. She loves to leave you feeling “acu-drunk” after your treatment – a sensation that you have to come try for yourself to understand!

Ali teaches yoga at different studios throughout the city and loves the power of moving while surrounded by community. Inspired to create a safe space to connect during the pandemic, she started her own business in 2021 leading different yoga classes and workshops for an inclusive and community-focused practice. Ali runs workshops combining Yin Yoga and Acupuncture for a full unwinding and restorative experience. Outside of the treatment room, Ali loves spending time out near water or snuggled up with a good book – the best day involves both!
Dr. Kait
Dr. Kait is a Registered Doctor of Acupuncture with an undergrad in Health Science who is passionate about gut health, stress management, female health, and beauty! A little unknown fact is that a lot of skin conditions are actually a reflection of internal disharmony – something acupuncture and herbal formulas are great at addressing.
This medicine is near and dear to her heart, as it has helped her tremendously with her own gut health over the years. In fact it’s truly the reason she is so passionate about the combination of herbal medicine and acupuncture as an alternative method of treatment! Part of her goal is to empower and support her clients to embrace their healing journey with guidance and tools that will help them to flourish.

In her spare time, she loves exploring the mountains with her husband and pup, Nali. Being amongst the trees and mountain peaks is one of her favourite ways to reconnect and ground herself after a long day.
A fun fact about Dr. Kait is that she is a self-taught photographer. She loves capturing expecting mommas and newborns, as well as proposals, engagements and wedding days. The love and emotions that come through during these life events is the reason she loves capturing them so much!
If you have any questions please feel free to reach out. She’d be more than happy to chat with you about what she does and how she might be able to help you!
Paige Ryan
Paige’s journey into health and wellness began with a deep curiosity about the body’s resilience, leading her to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. During her studies, she experienced firsthand the benefits of physiotherapy in recovering from sports injuries, but she felt an innate pull towards a more holistic approach. Her transition into coaching fitness classes and completing Yoga Teacher Training marked pivotal moments, where she discovered the profound connection between physical and spiritual practices in healing.
This passion for proactive self-care and bridging gaps in healthcare evolved into a mission to empower individuals to reclaim control over their health journeys. This drive led Paige to Manual Osteopathy, a discipline that aligns with her holistic beliefs in the body’s interconnectedness and self-healing abilities.
In her practice, Paige offers Cranial Therapy, Myofascial Remodeling,
Osteoarticulations, and Visceral Manipulation—modalities she tailors to each individual. She focuses on the nervous system through fascia to support holistic well-being, believing that a comprehensive approach to health yields longer-lasting results and contributes to overall vitality. Collaborating closely with other healthcare practitioners, Paige strives to enhance the benefits of each modality provided to clients, ensuring comprehensive care that empowers genuine healing and well-being.
Outside the treatment room, Paige is an avid adventurer. You can often find her exploring National Parks, hiking, camping, paddle boarding, or teaching Yoga.
